Experience the Ancient Mysteries of Egypt... and a private entrance into the Great Pyramid on the Autumnal Equinox
This will be the 20th tour that Larry leads to Egypt.
These tours strive for group solidarity, adventure, spiritual sensitivity, and deep respect for the ancient and modern cultures of Egypt. To assure yourself a place on this tour, you can place a $1000 deposit here. (The deposit is fully refundable before August 1, minus a $30 service fee.)

The tour cost includes all housing, transportation (except for airfare to and from Cairo) including the two domestic flights, daily breakfast and lunch, 3 meals per day on the Nile cruise, entrance fees, guidance, and lecture fees.

EXCURSIONS:

On the Autumnal Equinox we will have a 2 hour private entrance into the Great Pyramid, $300.

An excursion to Abydos, $100.

A hot air balloon ride in Luxor, $100.

An ATV adventure in the Egyptian desert (probably offered the day before the tour starts, Sep. 20) to the Lost Pyramids, $80.

Because of our unusually late flight to Aswan (usually it is very early in the morning), another excursion may be offered on the morning of Wed. Sept. 24, a tour of the Layer Pyramid, a mysterious 3rd Dynasty pyramid that is ignored by everyone, Egyptologists and tourists alike. I am the only one I know of who offers tours to see it. $50.

Sept. 19, Friday (This is the day before the tour officially begins). Optional ATV Excursion ($80), details to be announced.

Sept. 20, Saturday. Welcome dinner at Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) from 7:00pm-9:00pm. (Transport provided to/from Mamlouk Pyramids Hotel)

Sept. 21, Sunday. Breakfast at hotel at 8:00am. Walk of Remembrance to Khufu Causeway at 9:30am. Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) 12:30pm-3:30pm. Back to hotel to prep for The Great Pyramid excursion. Leave at 6:00pm (Private Entrance 7:00pm-9:00pm)

Sept. 22, Monday. Breakfast at hotel at 8:00am, then leave for our Autumnal Equinox tour of the Giza Plateau. Tomb of the Builders, Khafre Valley Temple, Sphinx, Camel/Horse Ride to Alabaster Field, Nine Pyramids Lounge for lunch. After lunch, transport to Menkaure Pyramid for a tour inside, then a walking tour of the Plateau ending back at the hotel. (For those who might not want to walk, the Giza shuttle or our van can take you home). Dinner at Mohamed’s home at 6:00pm

Sept. 23, Tuesday. Breakfast at hotel at 8:00am. Saqqara. The Step Pyramid, Pyramid of Unas, Serapeum. Dahshur. The Red and Bent Pyramids. Mena House for Golden Hour, optional dinner. After dinner we will have a presentation about Egyptian oils by Gimel Abdul.

Sept. 24, Wednesday. Breakfast at any time. Layer Pyramid excursion (Optional) at 8:15am. Fly to Aswan, arrive at 3:30pm. Drop luggage on Cruise ship, the Renaissance. Dinner on boat. Aswan Market? Nubian Village?

Sept. 25, Thursday. Nile Cruise, the ship launches in the afternoon. Unfinished Obelisk, Elephantine Island, The Temple of Isis. Ship launches, stop at Kom Ombo at sunset.

Sept. 26, Friday. Nile Cruise. Morning horse carriage to Edfu. Cruise leaves at 2pm. Night visit to the Luxor Temple.

Sept. 27, Saturday. Early morning Hot Air Balloon excursion. Depart the cruise ship after breakfast, luggage taken to the Jolie. Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, The Colossi of Memnon. Dinner at the Jolie Ville Luxor Hotel & Spa Kings Island

Sept. 28, Sunday. Choice for how we work Dendera and the excursion to Abydos. Return to Jolie Ville Luxor Hotel & Spa Kings Island.

Sept. 29, Monday. Fly back to Cairo. Old Cairo and Khan Al Khalili Market. Relax at hotel. Sheraton Cairo Hotel & Casino
