Valley of the Kings
On the west side of the Nile at Luxor lie the tombs of the New Kingdom pharaohs, called the "Valley of the Kings." Ana and Mauricio pose at the tomb of the one who has probably gained he most fame because of the intact nature of his tomb - King Tut. Most of the tombs were raided soon after the pharaoh was laid to rest, usually by some of those who had been involved in the burial, since they knew where the "hidden" entrances were. That's why Howard Carter's discovery of the grave of Tutankamen was so epic... it had been undisturbed by thieves!
