The Isis Temple
The Temple of Isis honors this famous Egyptian goddess, and her son with Osiris, Horus. The Temple was moved from the Isle of Philae to its current location because of the construction of the Aswan High Dam and Lake Nasser, which it created. It was the last Temple in Egypt built in the traditional Egyptian style, before the architecture of the Greeks and Romans became the prevailing style in the Mediterranean.
